OWH Midweek Throwdown Cards with Kids

Made this simple card that our troops can use to send a special boy or girl back home birthday wishes. Found manila tags at a teachers’ supply store going out of business which was the starting point.

This variation features a banner with ends creased and popped up on foam adhesive.

World Card Making Day Wrapup

It’s been a busy weekend making cards, inspired by Operation Write Home.  Their Blog Hop to celebrate this worldwide celebration got my creative juices flowing, as I tried out some new tools and toys to create cards for our heroes deployed in remote places.  Please check out this nonprofit organization and find out how you can get involved making cards sent to our troops, so they can send handwritten messages to their loved ones back home.  Even if you’re not a cardmaker (yet), there is info on sending AnyHero Mail , letters or notes of encouragament and thanks to the troops for their service and donations are always needed to cover the shipping costs.

Welcome to my blog…

So…it appears I’ve succumbed to the blogsphere in Cyberspace as I pursue my passions for pics, people and paper (not necessarily in that order.  🙂 I’ve enjoyed following several blogs as I grow in my pursuits and have learned much from many, much more talented than myself. I don’t guarantee witty repartee’, but I hope to inspire others to get out and capture memories and preserve them(ie. not taking them only to leave them on the device).  Or get your hands dirty trying out a new papercraft, and make someone’s day passing it on as a gift.

Anyway, I’m glad you found me and look forward to your comments!

Bienvenue, or Welcome!
